Audiologists
Meet Dr. Katie Austin, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Austin brings over 17 years of specialized experience in cochlear implants, having cared for nearly 600 patients ranging from infancy to adulthood. At KY Hearing Clinic, she provides expert services for cochlear implant and bimodal hearing patients.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, earned her graduate degree from the University of Louisville, and completed her doctorate externship at Arizona Hearing and Balance Center.
Outside of work, Dr. Austin enjoys exploring new restaurants and making lasting memories with her husband and their two children.
Meet Dr. Raquel Proctor, Au.D., CCC-A, CH-TM
A proud Louisville native and graduate of Christian Academy of Louisville, Dr. Proctor earned both her B.S. in Education and Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
At KY Hearing Clinic, she provides comprehensive care including hearing aid services, cochlear implant support, bone-anchored hearing systems, and tinnitus management. Dr. Proctor is Board Certified in Tinnitus Management and is dedicated to helping patients find personalized solutions for their hearing needs.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys adventures with her husband and daughter, spending time with her two dogs, and staying actively involved in her church community.
Meet Dr. Katherine Robertson, Au.D., CCC-A
A Louisville native, Dr. Robertson earned her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2009. She brings extensive expertise in adult diagnostic testing and acoustic amplification to KY Hearing Clinic.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Robertson enjoys traveling with her husband and two daughters. Be sure to check out her husband’s beautiful artwork proudly displayed in our office!
Meet Marci Shuman, M.S., CCC-A, CH-TM
With over 25 years of experience in adult hearing care and tinnitus management, Marci brings deep expertise and compassion to KY Hearing Clinic. She is passionate about raising awareness of adult-onset hearing loss through community outreach.
Marci earned her master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Arizona, is an alumna of the University of Illinois, and completed a prestigious fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. She is Board Certified in Tinnitus Management.

Marsha became part of the KY Hearing Clinic team in 2019, bringing over 20 years of hearing healthcare experience from her career in North Carolina. She and her husband relocated to the area to be closer to their beloved grandchildren, and we’re thrilled to have her expertise and warmth in our clinic.

Madison joined KY Hearing Clinic in 2022, bringing a strong background in customer service and a welcoming presence to our front office. Outside of work, she enjoys curling up with a good book, sipping coffee, and spending quality time with her husband and step-daughters.
